OSU Alumni Wine Glasses

The Alumni Association will be ordering wine glasses for the fall.  These glasses have the OSU Alumni logo of the Buckeye leaf and block-O enscribed on them.  The price will be roughly $2-4 per glass (exact price and shipping yet to be determined).  As far as I know, there is no limit to the number you may order.  If you would like to order some glasses for yourself or as gifts for someone else, please let me know how many you would like by May 12th.  The Alumni Association must have its order in by May 14th.

OSU Presidents Day in March!

President Dr. E. Gordon Gee and Archie Griffin, President of The Ohio State University Alumni Association, are coming to the bay area on March 17 to meet and greet with local alumni and fans.  The Bay Area Buckeyes and the East Bay Buckeyes clubs will be hosting our distinguished guests at the Westin Hotel at the San Francisco Airport from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

The cost is $30 per person, which includes a dinner by way of a pasta bar and fajita station.  A cash bar will also be available.  Parking costs $3 per car.

Space is limited and we must have an accurate head count for the hotel before the event.  Please RSVP by March 3 by emailing Adam at president@eastbaybuckeyes.com.  Also, if you're available, we could use a few volunteers to help set things up before the event.

Fiesta Bowl Game Tickets

If you haven't heard, the Buckeyes are heading to the Fiesta Bowl this year to take on the Texas Longhorns on January 5th. The good news is that our club will have the chance to buy tickets via the Alumni Association. Ticket packages will be $175 a piece which will include your game ticket and a ticket to the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl College Football’s Biggest Party.

Tri-Valley Haven

Melissa of our club is organizing an effort to collect donations for the Tri-Valley Haven. I've posted her note below -- please read it over. I think this is a great cause and an opportunity for the club to do some good. The preferred donation is grocery gift cards, although she can convert cash to cards. Another way to help is to purchase decorated gingerbread cookies from the Haven. I can not attach the order form via the club mail, but I'll have some printed and available to be filled out at the game watch Saturday.
